M04 Weighing Controller is designed for variety of weighing equipment. There are several options that can be chosen to tailor the various system, such us bagging scale, bulk scale, liquid filling, batching and fully customized software on demand. 

 

In this case, it is used on a multi-head valve bag filling machine for cement packing for the largest cement manufacturer Conch Cement in China. A valve bag filling machine has 8 valve ports, each of which needs a M04 to control the weight packing individually. There is a process of bag-inserting, bag-clamping, taring, fast-filling, slow-filling, fixed-value and push-bag. The harsh working environment with dust requests the high IP level of indicator and stable performance. If the common weighing controller works in this case, it might be damaged in a short time, then the whole packing line will be influenced by unwanted shutdown.

GM Washdown Bag Filler for Harsh Environment

 Considering some applications in chemical factory and plastic manufacturer, General Measure launches a new auto filler F103-25K (washdown version) which is easy installation, dismounting, and washable.  

One of our clients in China is using it in the plastic particle bagging field. They mentioned their frequent refilling requires the clean hopper. The simple structure of AF-25K makes it easy to dismount and clean, which fulfills the client's requirement that filler can be washed while the material is changed.

It is quite significant for some industry to recheck weight after production process, for the purpose of quality, security and cost management, such as pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industry. To some extent, weight means security and money.

Foxconn Case - M02 application on Force

Foxconn is a high-tech group specializing in the production of electronic 3C products and semiconductor equipment. It is well-known as the world's largest manufacturer. The force process is an indispensable part of the production of electronic consumer goods. General Measure's universal indicator M02 is used in the force process for Foxconn's electronic products.

 

The Multiple Force Application of M02 in Foxconn Production

After the screen installation of the mobile phone, tablet, and computer, the maximum and minimum value of the force on the screen should be tested and recorded for ensuring the quality of the products.

The keyboard and mouse of the computer also need the force process to make sure the type and click strength of each button after the assembly is completed, which can guarantee that all the buttons meet the quality standard by ergonomic design to achieve the most comfortable using state.

The insertion and extraction of plug ports of the smartphone, tablet, and computer should be tested for better user experience when using the products.

 

The Application of M02 in Force Process

No matter it is the force test on the screen, keyboard, mouse, or the insertion and extraction for plug ports, M02 can accurately and quickly catch the force value perceived from the load cell, then convert it into weight data and display it on the indicator. Whilst the weight signal will be transmitted to the external control system. The control system performs the corresponding action based on the received signal, such as stop pressure, collect peaks, and so on. Through the collection and transmission of weight data during the force process by M02, the whole force process can be controlled precisely, eventually ensuring the product quality.

Troubleshooting for OFL of Weighing Indicator

Considering OFL is a frequent problem of the weighing indicator that mentioned by clients, we shot this video for self detecting.

The problem of OFL contains 4 situations:

Weight overflow,

weight underflow,

The signal of loadcell too low 

The signal of loadcell too high.

There are 4 reasons that can trigger OFL:

First: Indicator parameters setup error,

Second: external wiring error,

Third: loadcell damage,  

Fourth: Indicator hardware damage.

The equipment needed for OFL detecting:

A weighing platform with the full scale of 20kg,

A GM9907-LD Weighing Indicator,

A weight of 2kg,

A straight screwdriver and a digital multimeter with a millivolt voltage range.

Ali Express Sorting Center - Checkweigher C101-15K Application

In-motion checkweigher can be used in a wide range of applications, such as logistics, food & beverage, pharmaceutical industry. For logistics industry, General Measure’s checkweigher C101-15K is currently applied in the Alibaba International Express sorting center in Shenzhen and Shanghai   

Since 2017, General Measure has entered the logistics industry. The dynamic checkweigher within 15KG weighing range of is used in the sorting line of the Alibaba Overseas Express Center. Combined with the scanning function, the sorting system classifies the goods by weight and region. Whilst the weight obtained can be also used for the calculation of freight. Generally, owing to long-distance, oversea e-commerce enterprise pays more attention to the freight calculation, which makes weight accuracy of the package significant for our clients. Kyb Conmat (Manufacturer of RMC Plants) Case - Weighing Indicator M02

Background:

Kyb Conmat is a Japanese Joint Venture company (India) who is Indian leading concrete enterprise manufacturing building and road construction machineries. They were using only Omron brand weight indicators for a very long time.

Product Requirement:

Due to some harsh environment that creating heave EMI on the field, kyb Conmat need the good quality weighing indicator to avoid unstable reading.  They have been trying several brand weighing indicators but haven’t found out the proper solution. Thus they are eager to acquire the indicator with stable performance and competitive price.

Our Solution:

General Measure’s Indian partner Prompt approached Kyb Conmat to introduce our weighing indicator M02 with consistent stability in harsh environment, which arouse their interests in our product. Therefore, they were very pleased to had field trials for more than a year and convinced by our indicator’s superior performance. After satisfactory results, Kyb Conmat decided to purchase M02 from our Indian partner. They also wanted us to match the features of M02 to some top brand’s model, like Omron and Mettler Toledo, which we did. Moreover, The outer case of General Measure’s weighing Indicator M02 is aluminium, which is a big extra value for them according to the Kyb Conmat.  Thus, Kyb Conmat finally decided to purchase order on a large scale from General Measure’s Indian partner.

 

General Measure Brings the Online Service to Client

During the special period regarding Coronavirus in China, for better serving our clients and propelling their project, General Measure decided to work from home since 2020.02.03 after Chinese Springing Festival.

On February 6th, General Measure organized an online training about Weighing Indicator for Famsun Group. This online meeting lasted for nearly two and a half hours, which was aimed to share the common knowledge and frequent problem shooting for client’s engineers. There are more than 70 people participating in and highly evaluating the training.

This training was about 5 parts: Company Profile, FAQ of Weighing Indicator, the Introduction of Weighing Transmitter M02, the Introduction of GM8804C3 Debugging, and finally the Q&A part. From a technical perspective, GM’s engineers shared common problem solving and debugging analysis of the indicator to Famsun’s engineers, as well as the advantages and features of M02 from a practical application perspective. After sharing, Famsun’s engineers raised many problems they encountered at different project sites, which were efficiently resolved by our engineer online.
